About Me

Hi! I'm Mackenzie, owner and founder of MahjKenzie. I am a homeschooling mama of 3 rambunctious kiddos residing in south Louisiana. I started playing Mahjong in 2025 and what started as an outlet for some me time has quickly turned into a desire to find affordable and beautiful neoprene mats! So after much research, designing, and some metaphoric blood sweat but *actual* tears, my Mahj baby was welcomed into this world in April 2026! My first mat was inspired by an acrylic painting ("Lovely Bouquet") that I painted and had hanging in my kitchen. After that I began using my apple pencil to design my mats, although I still have a few paintings I would like to use as mats!

Starting and running this business with my children right along side me has been such a wonderful learning opportunity for all of us. We are so thankful to the wonderful mahjong community for taking us in and supporting our small business! 

The best way to reach me is not through the shopify email, as I get an overwhelming amount of spam messages sent to shopify from people all over the world claiming they want to help me grow my shopify business, so I am continually having to filter those out.
